EMRE has completed shopping centre developments in South Africa and Botswana, including Mavundla Square in Kwazulu-Natal, The Reef in Gauteng and Lobatse Junction in Botswana.
The Reef, a co-development with Abland with funding from Pod Property Fund, is a 13,500sqm Checkers and Food Lovers anchored centre, which opened in October 2018.
Lobatse Junction is a co-development with Time Projects comprising a Spar anchored 8,500sqm shopping centre on a taxi and bus rank, opened fully let in October 2021. The centre has been sold to Botswana listed company Prime Time.
Retail developments in South Africa scheduled for commencement in 2023 include :

Letsheng Mall, a 10,000sqm Pick n Lay anchored centre in Orange Farm, funded by Edilcon Construction, under construction and opening in October 2023.

Fleurhof Mall, a 22,000sqm centre anchored by Shoprite and Pick n Pay in Soweto, funded by Mansingita.

Umlazi Station Mall, a 10,000sqm Shoprite anchored centre in Ethekwini.

Inchanga Plaza, an 8,000sqm Shoprite anchored centre in Ethekweni.

EMRE is also working with Motseng Group on the redevelopment of shopping centres owned by MEGA (Mpumulanga Economic Growth Agency) and LEDA (Limpopo Economic Development Agency) in Kabokweni, Siyabuswa, Tshitereke, Vuwani and Lulekani.
In the residential sector EMRE is also completing the land entitlement process for the mixed-use precinct Despatch Park Municipality. Comprising 5,058 affordable housing units, a neighbourhood shopping centre and private healthcare facility on a 40ha site. The project is being undertaken in partnership with Profica.
